The cream signed refinished dial has raised gold baton markers, dauphine hands and a sweep second hand.
It has scroll lugs which at the time represented a break from the conventional circular shape with plain lugs.

The Reference 1491 was launched in 1940 and was made in two versions: the first series with calibre 12-120 and small seconds; the second series, available from 1943 with calibre 12SC and centre sweep seconds.
