The platinum ring has a wide oval curved top in the centre of which is an oval cabochon cut grey/blue star sapphire.
The star sapphire weighs approximately 8.17ct and is set in a platinum rubover setting.
The remainder of the top is set with forty-four round diamonds of varying sizes that are grain set in a starburst pattern that radiates outwards from the centre to the edge with the smallest diamonds in the centre.
The diamonds have a total estimated weight of 0.50ct.
The platinum shank has a central plaited design.
The ring is hallmarked by the London Assay Office for platinum, 2024 & bears the sponsor's mark ‘A&SP’ for Alan & Sue Poultney.
The inside of the shank has been lasered with the Scarab London winged beetle logo and the word 'Scarab'.
