The trilliant cut almandine garnet has an estimated weight of 5.78ct.
It is set in the centre of the ring in a raised textured rubover triangular setting above a half domed textured 18ct yellow gold band style shank.
The inside of the shank has been bright polished and is hallmarked by the London Assay Office for 18ct gold, 2019 & bears the sponsor's mark ‘A&SP’ for Alan & Sue Poultney.
The garnet was sourced from Alan Poultney Gems but was cut many years ago by Alan's father, Sidney Poultney.
